The Officers of the Ocean City Fire Department are happy to share a few details about the 2010 Part-time hires.  Below you will find a brief biography of the new members of our department along with their photographs.

Jeff Aperance Jr., FF/EMT-B
19 years old
Volunteer Firefighter: Ocean City
On his time off he enjoys surfing, the beach, and water sports.
He is working on his EMT-I at Chesapeake Community College and looking forward to starting the Paramedic program next year.
   

Jordan Braniff, FF/EMT-B
23 years old
Volunteer Firefighter: Bishopville VFD and OCVFC
Jordan enjoys boating, fishing, video games, and reading.
He has a Bachelor in Arts- History from the University of Richmond.
   

Collins Brown, FF/EMT-B
19 years old
Volunteer Firefighter: Berlin Fire Department
Collins enjoys any outdoor activities and is currently enrolled in EMT-I school at Wor-Wic Community College.
   

Kevin Cooney, FF/EMT-B
47 years old
Kevin lives in Fenwick Island and is a Career Firefighter for Baltimore City
He is married with three children and enjoys football and spending time with his kids.

Volunteer Firefighter: Ocean City
Moe enjoys being with friends, family while enjoying fishing and the outdoors.

He is a career firefighter/paramedic for Mardela V.F.C.
   

Tyler Fritz, FF/EMT-B
20 years old
Volunteer Firefighter: Ocean City and Ocean Pines
Tyler enjoys exploring new things and spending time on the water.
He is currently enrolled in EMT-I school at Chesapeake Community College.
   

Trey Heiser, FF/EMT-B
20 years old
Volunteer Firefighter: Snow Hill Fire Company
Trey likes to fish, hunt, and ride his motorcycle.
He is currently going to EMT-I school.
   

Noah Lyden, FF/EMT-I
26 years old
Volunteer Firefighter: Federalsburg Fire Company
Noah enjoys doing farm work, four wheeling, and the volunteer fire service.
   

Andrew McCarter, FF/EMT-I
20 years old
Volunteer Firefighter: Cambridge Rescue Fire Company
Andrew is currently working on an associates degree in EMS- Paramedic.
   

Jonathan Osika, FF/EMT-B
37 years old
Volunteer Firefighter: Dover Fire Department, Delaware
He is a career firefighter for the City of Wilmington, Delaware
Jon is married with one son. He enjoys traveling.
   

Marc Perry, FF/EMT-P
25 years old
Marc is a career firefighter for the City of Wilmington, Delaware
He enjoys traveling, exercising, and the beach.
At this time is actively pursuing his Fire Science Degree.
   

Jason Williams, FF/EMT-B

SCUBA & Treasure hunting is two things that Jason enjoys on his time off.
He is currently working on an Associates degree in Emergency Services at Wor-Wic.

Greg enjoys watching hockey games and relaxing with friends.

Hunting, fishing, and boating are just a few things that Ryan enjoys on his time off.
He has two years of college under his belt.
