JOB TITLE: Trades Helper

SALARY: $14.08/hour

The Town of Ocean City, Maryland Police Department is seeking a part-time employee to perform tasks associated with the maintenance of the Public Safety Building (PSB) located at 6501 Coastal Highway in Ocean City, Maryland.

JOB SUMMARY:

The applicant selected for this position will be required to perform technical, skilled and semi-skilled labor on operating systems within the physical facility of the Public Safety Building. This will include coordinating contracted repair and maintenance projects within the building as well as coordinating police vehicle fleet management needs.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

All applicants must be a graduate of an accredited high school or holder of a general education degree (G.E.D.) is required. At least five (5) years of experience in the field of vehicle/building maintenance is desired. A valid driver’s license is required and a valid commercial motor vehicle license is desirable and preferred. The selected candidate must be able to work a variety of schedules and be available for on-call 24 hour service. The selected candidate may be required to wear a departmental cellular telephone and, in the event of hazardous weather or other emergency conditions, may be required to report for duty during off hours in order to maintain continuous operation of the Public Safety Building and associated emergency equipment.

Recreation & Parks
Facilities Monitor
(Part-Time)

Monitors programs and activities within the Northside Park Recreation facility. Recreation/ Parks background preferred. Handles set up and break down of activities. Close contact with the public both physically and by telephone. Possess excellent communication and computer skills. Able to work a varied schedule includes evenings and weekends 30 hours weekly/yr round. Lift weights up to 50 lbs. and have a valid driver’s license. Hourly rate $11.98. Driving record, drug test and background check required.

Transportation Department
Seasonal/Temporary Bus Driver

Immediate openings for seasonal Bus Drivers. Shifts vary including weekends and evenings. Driving positions require a valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License with passenger and air brake endorsements. Must have a current DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate. Two forms of ID are required; proof of Social Security number must be presented. Copy of your driving record for past 3 years, current within 30 days of application.
