Town of Ocean City Transportation services stopped, Police closing roads south of 62nd Street

The Town of Ocean City has now stopped transportation services.  Due to severe flooding in the downtown area, Ocean City police will be beginning a hard road closure south of 62nd Street immediately.  Residents and visitors who did not voluntarily evacuate and wish to do so can utilize the Convention Center or Northside Park as transfer areas.  The Town of Ocean City will provide transportation from those locations to designated Worcester County shelters. 

Delmarva Power has informed Town of Ocean City officials that they are taking proactive actions in order to protect the Ocean City electric grid, two circuits.  Power will be turned off in all areas south of 2nd Street to the inlet and oceanside locations south of 11th Street between the Boardwalk and Baltimore Avenue.  The Town of Ocean City will continue to update citizens of utility outages as frequently as possible.
