Ocean City SunfestSunfest celebrates its 36th year as Ocean City’s biggest and best festival. Sunfest artists will delight your senses with their arts and craft creations. Try the bold taste of the Eastern Shore with fabulous food. Enjoy live entertainment on two stages all day long. Children will enjoy hay rides and inflatables on the beach. Sunfest 2010 has something for everyone.

Admission to the four-day event is free! All entertainment is free with the exception of the headline acts, which start at 8:00 p.m. On Thursday, September 23, rock with The Fabulous Hubcaps, tickets $5 & $10. Friday, September 24, enjoy Glorianaopening for country star Phil Vassar. Tickets range from $20 to $49. Enjoy Chuck Negron, The Voice of Three Dog Night with Blood, Sweat and Tears on Saturday, September 25. Tickets are $25 to $45. Reminisce with Beatlemania Again, a FREE SHOW on Sunday, September 26 at 4:30 p.m. Tickets are on sale at the Roland E. Powell Convention Center Box Office Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. or you may order tickets by calling TicketMaster at 1-800-551-SEAT, or in Baltimore/Washington call 410-481-SEAT, www.ticketmaster.com

Enjoy delicious food from famous Eastern Shore delicacies to a wide assortment of ethnic food. Feast on crab cakes, pit beef, barbecue, hamburgers, hot dogs and much, much more. Over 30 food vendors will serve a variety of delicious food during the Sunfest 2010 celebration.

Ride the Boardwalk tram directly to the Sunfest grounds for only $3.00 per person one-way. The tram runs from 10:00 a.m. to midnight Thursday, Friday, and Saturday and 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday. Since parking is restricted to vendors only at Sunfest, visitors are urged to use the park and ride buses to the festival grounds. The Sunfest Express offers convenient service for festival attendees traveling from the Roland E. Powell Convention Center. This is a non-stop express that takes you directly to the Sunfest grounds for only $2.00 all day. Parking is free at the Convention Center south lot. Shuttles depart the lot every 30 minutes from 9:00 a.m. until 30 minutes following the end of the evening’s last concert, Thursday through Saturday, and from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday. Due to limited parking in the festival area, and for your convenience, park your vehicle for free at the following locations and ride the bus. It’s the way to go!

Please take advantage of the Town’s Park & Ride on Route 50 located in West Ocean City. You may park your car free and hop on the non-stop shuttle that takes you directly to the Sunfest grounds for only $1.00 ride all day fare.

While at the Winterfest Village, enjoy hot chocolate, board the Winterfest Express and sing Christmas carols. Browse the Yukon Cornelius Gift Shop for that special gift and have your photo taken with Santa! Be sure to visit Ocean City, Maryland to create a lasting holiday memory.

Springfest 2011 celebrates spring and the upcoming summer season. It is four dynamic days of delicious food, live entertainment and unique arts and crafts under four huge big top tents located in the Inlet Lot at the south end of Ocean City’s famous Boardwalk.

Springfest serves up a continuous variety of musical performances on two stages. Admission to the four day event is free! All entertainment is free with the exception of the headline acts.  Check back to see the announcement of our headline acts.

Celebrating its fourth year, the Ocean City Air Show is back bigger and better than ever. The show will be visible along the entire length of the Boardwalk, creating an inspiring experience for visitors while they enjoy the resort’s beaches and attractions. Spectators can see the show free of charge, however, VIP seating is available for those who want to be front and center. www.ocairshow.com.

 

FLAG DAY

Flag Day, honoring the Flag of the United States and those who have served it, will be held at the opening of the Ocean City Air Show when the United States Navy Seals parachute to the beach and deliver the flag to selected veterans.

Art’s Alive 2011 Application

 

Ocean City Art's AliveArt’s Alive celebrates 11 years as Ocean City’s biggest and best fine art show. What could be better than fine art at the beach? How about fine art for sale around a beautiful lagoon in a picturesque park with expansive bay views. Visit 100 artists as they sell their works, lunch at the Artists’ Café and enjoy live music while your children enjoy free art activities. Art’s Alive is the art show that has something for everyone.

Art’s Alive is a juried, fine art show with work for sale in 12 categories including ceramics, drawing, fiber, furniture, glass, printmaking, jewelry, mixed media, painting, photography, sculpture and fine wood. Artists compete for $5,250 in cash prizes. A special thanks goes to the Art League of Ocean City for their support of Art’s Alive.

Don’t forget to take a little bit of Art’s Alive and Ocean City home with you. Stop by the Art’s Alive Official Event Merchandise Tent located in the Information Booth. Merchandise includes T-shirts, jackets, baseball hats, pins and more.

Bring your picnic basket and beach chairs to Northside Park at 127th Street and the Bay for ice cream sundaes and live entertainment for adults and children. The lineup of entertainers this season will make you stand and cheer, however, the spotlight will be on you creating your own ice cream sundae with delicious toppings. Sundaes in the Park is a free family concert series offered Sunday evenings in July and August from 6 to 8 p.m. For a small fee, enjoy your own ice cream sundae creation as you listen to your musical favorites and watch the sun set over the beautiful Assawoman Bay.

Concerts on the Beach provide free, live entertainment with tribute bands and local favorites. Treat yourself to a collection of summer beach music, watch the sun set, view the sparkling blue ocean and dance by moonlight. There is no better setting for relaxing than Concerts on the Beach. The beach beat will have your hands clapping and your toes tapping to the variety of entertainment from 8 to 9:30 p.m. each Wednesday evening.
