Springfest 2010 celebrates the arrival of spring and the upcoming summer season. It is four dynamic days of delicious food, live entertainment and clever arts and crafts under four huge big top tents located in the Inlet Lot at the south end of Ocean City’s famous Boardwalk.
Springfest serves up a continuous variety of musical performances on two stages. Admission to the four day event is free! All entertainment is free with the exception of the headline acts, which start at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 6, rock with Captain Fantastic and The music of Elton John. Friday, May 7, enjoy The Country Rat Pack Featuring Richie McDonald, Tracy Byrd and Tracy Lawrence and on Saturday, May 8, reminisce with The Teen Idols starring Peter Noone, Micky Dolenz and Mark Lindsay. Tickets are on sale at the Roland E. Bring your appetite so you can enjoy delicious food from famous Eastern Shore delicacies to a wide assortment of ethnic food. Feast on crab cakes, pit beef, barbecue, hamburgers, hot dogs and much, much more. Over 30 food vendors will serve a variety of delicious food during the Springfest 2010 celebration.
Ride the Boardwalk tram directly to the Springfest grounds for only $3.00 per person one-way. Children under 42 inches are free. The tram runs from 10:00 a.m. to Midnight. Since parking is limited at Springfest, visitors are urged to use the park and ride buses to the festival grounds.
The Springfest Express offers the most convenient service for festival attendees traveling from the Roland E. Powell Convention Center. This is a non-stop express that takes you directly to the Springfest grounds for only $2.00 all-day. Parking is free at the Convention Center south lot. Shuttles depart the lot every 30 minutes from 9:00 a.m. until 30 minutes following the end of the evening’s last concert, Thursday through Saturday, and from 9:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Sunday. Due to limited parking in the downtown area, and for your convenience, park your vehicle for free at the following locations and ride the Bus – It’s the way to go.

OC Air Show

Celebrating it’s 3rd year, The Ocean City Air Show is back bigger and better than ever. The United States Air Force Thunderbirds percicision aerial demonstration team will anchor the show. The show will be visible along the entire length of the Boardwalk creating an inspiring experience for visitors while they enjoy the resort’s beaches and attractions. Spectators can see the show free of charge, however VIP seating is available for those who want to be front and center. www.ocairshow.com.
OC Air Show "ExpressShuttle Service" provides the most convenience way to get to the show. The fare is $2.00. The Express Trolley Service is schedule for June 4 through June 6th with 20-minute service from
10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Flag Day
June 6, 2010 12 Noon
On the beach at 16th Street and the Boardwalk
Flag Day, honoring the Flag of the United States and those who have served it, will be held at the opening of the Ocean City Air Show when the United States Navy Seals parachute to the beach and deliver the flag to selected veterans.

Art’s Alive

Art’s Alive celebrates it’s 10th Anniversary as Ocean City’s biggest and best fine art show. What could be better than fine art at the beach. How about fine art for sale around a beautiful lagoon in a green park with expansive bay views. Art’s Alive is the art show that has something for everyone. Visit 100 artists as they sell their works, eat lunch at the Artists’ Café while enjoying live music and shop for Ocean City souvenirs while your children enjoy free art activities.
Art’s Alive is a fine art show including the categories: Ceramics, Drawing, Fiber, Furniture, Glass, Printmaking, Jewelry, Mixed Media, Painting, Photography, Sculpture and Fine Wood. Artists compete for $5,250.00 in cash prizes. A special thanks goes to the Art League of Ocean City for their support in Art’s Alive.
Don’t forget to take a little bit of Art’s Alive and Ocean City home with you. Stop by the Art’s Alive Boutique located in the Information Booth. Merchandise includes T-shirts, golf shirts, sweatshirts, denim shirts, baseball hats, sun visors, shoe charms, pins and more. The show will take place outdoors rain or shine. Bring your picnic basket and beach chairs to Northside Park at 127th Street and the Bay for ice cream sundaes and live entertainment for adults and children. The lineup of entertainers this season will make you stand and cheer, however, the spotlight will be on you creating your own ice cream sundae with delicious toppings. Sundaes in the Park is a Free family concert series offered Sunday evenings in July and August from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. For a small fee, enjoy your own ice cream sundaes creation as you listen to your musical favorites and watch the sun set over the beautiful Assawoman Bay. Concerts on the Beach provide free, live entertainment with tribute bands and local favorites. Treat yourself to a collection of summer beach music, watch the sun set, view the sparkling blue ocean and dance by moonlight. There is no better setting for relaxing than Concerts on the Beach. The intoxicating sounds will have your hands clapping and your toes tapping to the variety of entertainment from 8:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. each Wednesday evening. Winterfest of Lights Visit the Winterfest Village, located at beautiful Northside Park, 125th and the Bay, where dazzling lights on winter nights will put you in the mood for the holiday season. While at the Winterfest Village, enjoy hot chocolate, board the Winterfest Express and sing Christmas carols. The admission to the Village is free, while the Winterfest Express is $4.00 for those 9 years and older. Children under 9 are free. Browse the Yukon Cornelius Gift Shop for that special gift and have your photo taken with Santa! Be sure to visit Ocean City, Maryland to create a lasting Holiday memory.
