Ocean City under a Tropical Storm Warning

Ocean City is currently under a TROPICAL STORM WARNING. Based on current forecasts, Hurricane Earl is expected to pass approximately 150 miles off Ocean City’s coast by Friday afternoon. By the time Earl reaches off the Ocean City coast, it is expected to be a fast moving storm. It is anticipated that Earl will be completely clear of Ocean City by Friday evening and the remainder of the weekend’s forecast is favorable.

Official Ocean City, Md., Smartphone Application Now Available for Android Users

The Ocean City Department of Tourism has announced the availability of the Android version of the town’s official Smartphone application. Identical to “Ocean City Mobile,” the iPhone application launched in June, the Android version of the Ocean City application is free and now available through the Android Market.

Ocean City’s Sunfest earns top national ranking

The Town of Ocean City’s Sunfest has been rated by Sunshine Artist, “America’s Premier Show and Festival Magazine,” the number one traditional art and craft show in the nation. Springfest, the town’s spring season kick-off held in May, remains in the top 20 on the magazine’s annual “200 Best” list.

OC Museum offers free programs on the Boardwalk

Families looking for an enjoyable morning activity in Ocean City can head to the Ocean City Life-Saving Station Museum. Nestled on the Boardwalk by the Inlet, the museum offers free programs six mornings a week, with topics ranging from knot tying to “All About Sharks.” Programs begin Monday, July 5.
