Ocean City celebrating the 23rd Annual Springfest

springfest.psdOcean City celebrates the start of the season with the 23rd Annual Springfest, the four-day festival filled with arts and crafts, live entertainment and delicious food from May 2 –5, 2013.  Springfest is located in the Inlet Lot at the south end of Ocean City’s famous Boardwalk.  With a continuous variety of musical performances on two stages, Springfest is fun for people of all ages. Admission to the four-day event is free, including all entertainment, with the exception of the headline acts.

One of this year’s headlining acts is Foreigner, a British-American band formed in 1976 by Englishman, Mick Jones in New York City.  Foreigner will take the stage at 8 p.m. on Saturday, May 4.  In the 80s, they dominated the charts with songs like “Waiting for a Girl Like you,” “Juke Box Hero,” “Urgent” and “I Want To Know What Love Is.” With a career spanning over thirty years, Foreigner continues to release new music and tour.  Their music continues to get airplay on popular and classic rock radio. Country music sensation, Justin Moore will also be preforming as a headliner this year.  Taking the stage on Friday, May 3, Moore will be showcasing his #1 hits, such as “Small Town USA” and “If Heaven Wasn’t So Faraway.” Since arriving in 2008, the Arkansas native has stayed on the charts with many other hits including, “Bait a Hook,” “Backwoods” and “Til My Last Day.” His songs reflect his small-town, southern upbringing mixing traditional and hard-rocking country music.  Moore has toured with the biggest names in country music, including Rascal Flatts and Brad Paisley gaining loyal fans along the way. Tickets are $20 to $45.

Also at Springfest, Beatlemania Again will perform at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 2.  This fabulous journey back in time is a performance every fan of music must see.  Their performance chronologically traces the Beatles from their debut on the Ed Sullivan Show in 1964, to the psychedelic Sgt. Pepper era, to the final years of Abbey Road and Let It Be.  For only $5 to $10, you can relive the music, the magic and the mania of the Beatles live on stage.
