The Ocean City Museum Society is pleased to announce the grand opening of its newest short term exhibit entitled “Veterans of Worcester County Maryland…Home of the Free because of the Brave.” To celebrate the opening on May 27, guests will be treated to refreshments and free admission from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Ocean City Life-Saving Station Museum.
This exhibit, which was funded by the Synepuxent Post 166 American Legion , features veterans from Worcester County from World War I through the Vietnam War and will be open through April 2014. There are artifacts, stories of a few of the county’s veterans and also a movie featuring photographs of veterans of the county.
The Ocean City Life-Saving Station Museum is located at 813 S. Atlantic Avenue on the Boardwalk at the Inlet and is open Wednesday through Sunday in May from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and daily June through September.
