First white marlin of the season reeled in on June 11

June 13, 2014 – The first white marlin of the season was reeled in this week, as angler John Henry, of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, landed the catch on Wednesday, June 11. The marlin was caught while the crew of the “No Worries” was fishing between Baltimore and Poorman’s Canyons. The fish, which was estimated at around 90 pounds, was released after the catch.

As the angler reeling in the fist white marlin of the season, Henry will receive a $5,000 prize awarded by the Town of Ocean City. The prize money will be awarded in the fall at the Ocean City Marlin Club’s annual awards banquet.
