The Town of Ocean City’s Skate Park will be hosting a full day of skateboarding fun at the Ocean Bowl Bash on Wednesday, June 19. The event, which will include free skating all day, will host live music and impromptu contests from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Ocean Bowl Skate Park.
“Ocean City has a strong skateboarding community with a lot of great energy,” said David Messick, Ocean Bowl Manager. “What better way to celebrate the beginning of the Dew Tour and the action sports fans in Ocean City than a big bash at the Ocean Bowl.”
With local skate and surf shops on hand with apparel and live music from The Hoopla, PTV and McRad beginning at 5:30 p.m., guests of the Ocean Bowl Bash are guaranteed to have a good time. The modernized Ocean Bowl Skate Park offers skateboarders and inline skaters new challenges, with the perfect harmony of east coast and west coast styles melded into one spectacular space.
With 17,000-square-foot concrete-based park, pool bowl with deep and shallow end, a large vert ramp and mini ramp and a 13,000-square-foot innovative open concrete street course with hit walls, hips and small bow, the Ocean Bowl provides challenges for skaters of all abilities.
