Ocean City, MD — The Town of Ocean City recently presented two $2,000 reimbursement checks under the Storm Water Management Retrofit Cost Share program — one to the Pyramid Condominium Association and another to the Fountainhead Condominium Association.
Both associations voluntarily installed storm water management infiltration trenches on their properties. These trenches take up to the first inch of runoff from a specific drainage area. The trenches were installed to help reduce flooding and also have a joint benefit of providing water quality treatment. Ocean City’s storm water mitigation account funds this program and no general fund money is used.
Commercial and multi-family properties built before 1985 are encouraged to call Gail Blazer, Ocean City Environment Engineer, at 410-289-8825, to discuss a project they feel would qualify for the program.
