OCEAN CITY, MD – (June 4, 2018): After a detailed search, Ocean City police have located the body of missing 23-year-old Montgomery County man, Cesar Alcides Martinez Saravia. His body was located just south of 67th Street in a bayside canal and was recovered by the Ocean City Fire Department Dive Team.
Martinez Saravia was reported missing to police the morning of Sunday, June 3 by his friends. He was last seen in the area of 62nd Street in Ocean City on Saturday, June 2 at approximately 7 p.m. Officers immediately initiated a search with assistance from the Maryland Natural Resources Police. Through investigation and video surveillance, detectives were led to the location of his body Monday afternoon.
Martinez Saravia’s body has been sent to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner of Maryland for autopsy where the cause and manner of death will be determined. There were no obvious signs of injury and no foul play is suspected at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
