Beachfest Volleyball Festival

May 8-16, 2021

Hosted at the Roland E. Powell Convention Center

Come join us on the shore for Beachfest 2021!

Originating in Ocean City, MD with 40 teams in 2011, Beachfest has exploded in popularity over the past nine years reaching max capacity of 224 teams every year since 2018!! Expanding to Salisbury, Princess Anne and Snow Hill to accommodate the popularity, we try and keep our Ocean City roots in mind as we plan for the event each year. To ensure everyone has adequate time to enjoy the All-American City we utilize AM and PM waves, perfect for end of the season team bonding!

ABOUT ESA

ESA is the largest amateur surfing association in the world. Our family oriented programs promote a healthy and active lifestyle. It is not uncommon to find two or three generations of the same family involved as members of the ESA, and actively competing in our program. Two of the original founders of the ESA, Cecil Lear and David Reese, are still active in the association more than fifty years later.

The Association’s activities are organized into a total of twenty-four districts, which extend along nearly 2,000 miles of coastline. Stretching from Maine through the Gulf Coast of Florida, and the Great Lakes, each district’s programs are developed and operated by a dedicated group of volunteer directors and staff.

QUICK FACTS

Eleven time world professional surfing champion Kelly Slater and former world professional womens surfing champion Lisa Anderson both learned their competitive skills through the Eastern Surfing Association.

In a world of magical realism and rising water, two sisters are reunited at their family home. Mira, the caretaker sister, had to weather her mother’s death alone, and holds every childhood slight so close that she is literally burning from the inside out, shedding ashes and embers, as her wife, Amanda attempts to soothe her. Sister Deedee has returned to bring her fiancee, Pike, to safety, even as her memory is vanishing faster and faster. In this slowly drowning world, everyone is searching for higher ground. The sisters battle to the end, one unable to forget, the other unable to remember. Mox Nox is a play of lyrical magic and visual surprise, with characters who desperately need love and dry land. Mox Nox runs approximately 90 minutes without an intermission.
