Municipal Election @ Rolland E. Powell Convention Center
Nov 6 @ 7:00 am – 8:00 pm

The Town of Ocean City is holding the municipal election in conjunction with federal and state elections on Tuesday, November 6, 2018, from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Registered Ocean City voters are able to vote in all elections at the Roland E. Powell Convention Center, 4001 Coastal Highway. The elections will be conducted independently. Voters must sign in at both the municipal and the federal/state registration desks that day.

The mayoral seat and three council seats are up for election this year to include the seats of current Council Members Lloyd Martin, Wayne Hartman and Matt James.

This year the ballot will include a referendum to amend section C-1003.C of the Town Charter, asking voters to decide if certain employees of the emergency medical services division of the Ocean City department of emergency services and the Ocean City fire marshal’s department can have binding interest arbitration by a neutral arbitrator. Binding interest arbitration is defined as the process through which parties negotiating a collective bargaining agreement reach impasse on one or more items, and call upon a third party to resolve the impasse and set a term of the collective bargaining agreement to which the parties are bound.

Your vote is important. If you have not already done so, please register to vote by Tuesday, October 16. Visit http://www.elections.state.md.us/voter_registration/application.html to download and submit a Maryland Voter Registration Application.
