We are excited to move forward with the 47th annual White Marlin Open August 3-7. Social responsibility and safety are always paramount—we are doing everything we can to enhance protection for the community while enabling people to continue to participate in the tournament experience. With that said, this year’s events will look and feel a bit different.
A new family-friendly viewing experience will be located at the 3rd Street Bayside ballpark where people can cheer on the boats as they head to Harbour Island to weigh their catch, view a live stream of the weigh-ins, shop vendor booths, purchase concessions and official White Marlin gear. Facial covering is mandatory for entry.
The general public will not be permitted at Harbour Island for the weigh-ins.
Important Info for Spectators at 3rd Street
- Social distancing is strongly encouraged – there will be lots of room to spread out!
- Face coverings are strongly recommended
- Hand sanitizing stations will be located throughout the ballpark
- Coolers are not permitted
- Chairs and blankets ARE permitted

First Friday Opening Reception
Meet the artists, enjoy hors d’oeuvres and refreshments, and see the new exhibits featuring a variety of local artists. Open to the public. Free Admission.
5PM – 7PM at the Center for Arts on 94th Street.
Poor Girls Open
August 13-15, 2020 CANCELED
Bahia Marina, 22nd Street & Bay
The Poor Girls Open is a ladies only billfish release tournament benefiting breast cancer research. There are also added entry levels for tuna and dolphin. This tournament was started by Capt. Steve Harman as a way for local waitresses and bartenders to have an affordable and fun competition while raising money for a very important cause. The tournament continues to grow with over 100 boats entering. Participation is not limited only to anglers as there are silent auctions, 50/50 tickets, T-shirts for sale, and other fun events helping to raise money for breast cancer research.

Flounder Pounder

Bahia Marina, 22nd Street & Bay
The Bahia Marina Flounder Pounder is a one day fishing tournament for flounder. This tournament is a lot of fun and great for the kids. You may fish from your own boat or rent a skiff, skimmer, or pontoon from the marina if you wish.
