ORDINANCE HIGHLIGHTS

NO TRAILER OR OVERSIZED VEHICLE PARKING ON BALTIMORE AVENUE AT ANY TIME.

No trailer or oversized vehicle parking on any street or paved public lot without a permit between May 1 and October 31.

Permits are available only to registered participants of Cruisin’ Ocean City, OC BikeFest, and Endless Summer Cruisin’ for a fee of $50 from the event promoter.

Limited paid trailer parking will be available at the 100th Street gravel lot. Parking permits are available for this lot on-site at the pay station.

Limited free trailer parking will be available at the West Ocean City Park & Ride beginning at noon on Friday before Cruisin’ Ocean City, OC BikeFest, and Endless Summer Cruisin’ until noon on the Monday following each event.

The new ordinance applies to trailers that are both attached and detached from vehicles.

An oversized vehicle is any vehicle that is either over 21 feet, 2 inches in length, and/or over 6 feet, 8 inches in width.

The fine for trailer and oversized vehicle violations is $250.

Scofflaws (3 or more outstanding tickets or $100 or more in outstanding fines) may be booted or towed.

What am I supposed to do with my trailer when I am coming for the week of a special event and I can’t get a permit until Wednesday at noon?

There are three options for parking your trailer in town without a permit. The West Ocean City Park & Ride has limited free trailer parking available starting at noon on the Friday prior to the Cruisin’ OC, OC BikeFest and Endless Summer Cruisin’ events through noon on the Monday immediately following each event. The 100th Street gravel lot also has limited trailer parking for a daily fee that can be paid on site. In addition, you may make arrangements with a private property owner to park on their lot. You may not park on any public streets.

Can I park my trailer in the 100th Street lot?

Yes. Trailer parking is permitted in the GRAVEL portion of the 100th Street lot. A daily parking fee can be paid on site.

Do I have to be a registered event participant to purchase a trailer permit?

Yes. Trailer permits are only available through the event organizer and are only sold to registered participants.

When I get my permit, can I park on any city street?

With the permit, a trailer can be parked on any city street EXCEPT Baltimore Avenue. There is not adequate space to safely park a trailer or oversized vehicle on Baltimore Avenue.

How long is the parking permit valid?

The trailer parking permits are only valid during the dates of the three special events listed – Wednesday through Sunday.

Where can I park my trailer if I am not visiting for an event?

Limited paid trailer parking is available at the gravel lot on 100th Street. You may also make arrangements with a private property owner to park on their lot.
