64th STREET COMFORT STATION

The 64th Street Comfort Station project was designed by Davis, Bowen & Friedel, Inc. out of Salisbury, MD. Construction Management was completed In-House by Town Engineering Manager, Paul Mauser and Construction Inspection was performed by Town Engineering Technician Joe Kurtz.

The Comfort Station itself is quite small with the enclosed areas having a footprint less than 400 Square Feet. The construction of the project, however, involved the full spectrum of trade work, including: site work (demo, grading, stone placement); concrete (footings, steps, floating slab); utilities (connection to existing water, sewer, and electrical services); masonry; framing; plumbing; electrical; roofing; insulation; fire sprinklers; and installation of HardiePlank® siding.

The project was Substantially Completed on July 2, 2018 and the facilities are complimentary to individuals using the boat ramp. With very little use during the winter months, the facilities are winterized from December to March.
