QUALITY ASSURANCE PROGRAM

Purpose:

• • Ensure that your fire protection systems will function in the event of an emergency

  • Ensure that you are receiving quality service from the contractor for installation, testing, inspection, and/or maintenance for your fire protection systems.

  • Provide the Ocean City Fire Marshal with the resources and mechanism to respond to your complaints and inquires regarding your fire protection systems.

  • Provide for follow up and random inspections to verify that your system is operational and that it has been properly maintained.

In accordance with Chapter 34, entitled Fire Prevention and Protection, of the Code of the Town of Ocean City, Maryland, the Mayor and City Council is authorized and empowered to impose, by resolution, Fire Protection System fees. The owner of the system(s) is responsible to submit annually, the applicable fee to the Town of Ocean City. Additionally, a Certificate of Inspection shall be submitted, in accordance with each of the corresponding codes time frames, by the company or owner/owners representative that performed the inspection to the Ocean City Fire Marshal for review.
