Public Works provides a wide range of services for the city of Ocean City. There are nine divisions of Public Works that cover various areas including administration, aviation, construction, maintenance, service center, solid waste, transportation, wastewater, and water. During peak periods, Public Works employs over 300 additional staff members to help with tasks such as operating buses and trams, handling refuse, and conducting maintenance. With a strong team of 200 full-time employees, Public Works is committed to ensuring that Ocean City remains aesthetically pleasing and operates efficiently. Their priority is delivering the best possible service to the community and visitors.

REDUCED-STOP SERVICE DURING OCEANS CALLING FESTIVAL, SEP 29th thru OCT 1st

From Friday, September 29th thru Sunday, October 1st the Coastal Highway Beach Bus will be running in a REDUCED-STOP, EXPRESS SERVICE mode in order to expedite crowd movement during and after the festival. Certain stops will be inactive during the three-day weekend. Affected stops will be marked with signs directing passengers to the nearest available active stop. Riders needing special mobility assistance may coordinate pickups at inactive stops by calling Dispatch at (410) 723 1606, and may coordinate dropoffs directly with their driver.
