OCEAN CITY ADA PARA TRANSIT

Ocean City Transportation offers Origin-to-Destination service to disabled residents and visitors. This service is available during the same operating days and hours as our fixed-route Coastal Highway bus service. Fare is $4 Ride-All-Day. All trip reservations must be made by 4:00 p.m. the day prior. Eligible patrons may call the Dispatch Office at 410-723-1606 to make a reservation for the Para-transit van 365 days a year. All Ocean City buses are handicap accessible. If a vehicle lift/ramp and securement area can accommodate a mobility device Ocean City Transportation will transport the device (and user). Our staff of well-trained drivers offers our patrons a safe ride to their destinations. We can even deliver you to the front entrance of most special events. We can also connect you with our neighboring transit systems: Delaware Area Transit (DART) at the North end of Town and Shore Transit.

If you are ADA certified and have a card from another agency, you are already eligible to use our ADA Services. Residents and Visitors that do not have a certified ADA card may use this service for up to 21 days in a 365 day period without obtaining certification. ADA Paratransit MEDTRN Services

Robert H. Melvin Jr. MEDTRN: In conjunction with Shore Transit / Tri-County Council for the Lower Eastern Shore of Maryland, Ocean City MEDTRN provides medical appointment transportation services to ADA qualified persons residing within the corporate limits of Ocean City to/from locations within 500 yards of Route 50 between Ocean City and Berlin, MD, within 500 yards of Route 589, and within the the corporate limits of Berlin, MD. Required fare is $5 per boarding. Service is available Monday, Wednesday, and Friday – 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Trip reservations are required, and must be made by no later than 11am the day prior to your medical appointment. Robert H. Melvin Jr. MEDTRN Plus Program: Sponsored by the American Legion Post 166 of Ocean City and is for all ADA qualified Ocean City Citizens and American Legion members including the Ladies Auxiliary and the Sons of the Legion.

This service provides round-trip transportation for medical appointments to Salisbury, Pocomoke, Cambridge, Baltimore and Philadelphia via Shore Transit. For more information concerning this service, please contact Joe Salabia at the American Legion 410-289-3166 on Monday’s from noon till 3p.m.

2) Appear at Ocean City Transportation Operations Office, located at 64th Street Public Works Complex Building 214, to receive/submit a concern/complaint form.
