Camp Director Jane Whitelock, and her staff are enthusiastic and eager to share their knowledge of the natural world with the next generation of anglers. This extremely popular camp teaches all of the skills and knowledge necessary for a lifetime of fun catching fish. Casting, tying lures, and fish identification will all be taught. Campers will engage in “hands on,” nature-based activities that inspire campers to become stewards of our natural resources. No one comes home clean or dry after a day of fishing, crabbing, and exploring through the marshes and wetlands of Northside Park to learn all there is about our tidal area and its marine inhabitants. On the final day, campers will board the Happy Hooker to put their newly honed skills to the test, with the chance to catch flounder, bluefish and croakers!
