OCEAN CITY HOMETOWN HEROES
MILITARY BANNER PRESENTATION CEREMONY
Saturday, October 19th, 2019
2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The Ocean City Elks Lodge #2645 cordially invites you to our 2019 Hometown Heroes Military Banner Presentation Ceremony. This event will be held upstairs at the Elks Lodge in the newly dedicated FLAIG-WAGNER BANQUET HALL. Visitors please use the double glass doors along Sinepuxent Avenue and take the elevator to the 2nd floor. This event is open to the public and everyone is welcome. Help us honor our WW II & KOREAN ERA Veterans and Active Duty Service Personnel from Worcester County currently serving in the United States Military. These Banners have been proudly flying along the Ocean City Boardwalk since the middle of April and will continue to fly (weather permitting) until the first week in October. They are located on light posts from the Inlet Amusement Pier continuing north up the beach to 4th Street. At the end of the season the banners will then be taken down, cleaned and presented to our Hometown Heroes, or their family members. Local businesses, charities, fraternal organizations, associations and citizens, sponsor the banners honoring our local Hometown Heroes.
