The Mayor’s Bike Ride is to encourage biking in Ocean City and to promote bicycling safety. The Town of Ocean City is actively working to improve safety while biking in the resort community. In addition, Ocean City hopes to continue to provide better infrastructure for promoting bicycle tourism activities, improve health and recreation and decrease traffic congestion and vehicle emissions. As part of these efforts, the City Council established an official Ocean City Bicycle & Pedestrian Advisory Committee (OC BPAC) in July 2018. The OC BPAC is comprised of 10 members, including a liaison from the Town Council, several town staff members, a representative from State Highway Administration (SHA), a representative from OCDC, as well as town residents and business owners.
