Public Assistance Needed: Attempt to Identify Shooting Suspects
Ocean City, MD- (September 9, 2022): The Ocean City Police Department is currently investigating a shooting that occurred on September 5, 2022, at approximately 2:30 a.m. in the area of N. Division Street and the Boardwalk in Ocean City, Maryland.
During the early morning hours of September 5, 2022, the Ocean City Police Department responded to a shooting in the area of N. Division Street and Atlantic Ave, commonly referred to as the Boardwalk. Officers located one victim, a 28-year-old male from Ocean City, Maryland suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported by Ocean City EMS to TidalHealth Peninsula Regional with non-life-threatening injuries.
The preliminary investigation indicates the shooting occurred after a brief altercation. Detectives with the Major Crimes Division are currently handling the investigation.
