Sign-up Now for the Trespass Enforcement Authorization Program (T.E.A.P)

Ocean City, MD- (August 24, 2022): As the off-season begins to near, the Ocean City Police Department would like to encourage businesses and property owners/managers whose business does not stay open 24/7/365 to sign-up for the Trespass Enforcement Authorization Program (T.E.A.P).

This program allows officers from the Ocean City Police Department to effectively and efficiently address peace and good order issues on private property, such as trespassing laws on the participating properties. This is especially important during nighttime hours when contacting owners and managers is inherently problematic and inconvenient. Our goal is to get every property that is not open 24/7/365 to join the program. The Ocean City Police Department wants everyone to come and enjoy Ocean City while respecting the rights of others. In addition, our goal in this program is to gain voluntary compliance before resorting to criminal citation or arrest.
