Town of Ocean City Seeks Opinions Regarding Public Transportation and Bike Lanes
Ocean City, Maryland – (May 3, 2023): The Town of Ocean City is seeking feedback on public transportation and bike lanes. Two surveys are available to the public and your opinions are important.
The Ocean City Transportation Department survey will help the department learn about the public transportation priorities of area residents, visitors, employers, and employees. This survey is part of the data collection efforts for a Transit Development Plan that will help develop a five-year plan to maintain and improve public transportation services in the Town of Ocean City. The survey will be available through June 30, 2023 and can be accessed here, www.surveymonkey.com/r/OC_Transportation.
In addition, the Ocean City Engineering Department is studying the potential to add bike lanes to the 94th Street and 146th Street corridors. The department is seeking feedback via a public survey and/or public workshop. The public survey is available at www.oceancitymd.gov/bikesurvey and can be taken anytime between now and May 8th. The public workshop will be held on Monday, May 8th from 5:00pm to 6:30pm (94th Street) and 6:30pm to 8:00pm (146th Street). This public workshop will be held in the Council Chambers at City Hall and will include members of town staff and the design consultant to answer any questions. The study for these potential projects is being funded by the Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) Bikeways Program.
