People and events often deserve special recognition.

The Town of Ocean City invites you to memorialize a special person or life event with a dedicated bicycle parking rack located on the world famous boardwalk, or in one of the Town’s beautiful parks.

Bike Rack Dedication

A bicycle rack donation lasts the lifetime of the rack. The life of the product is 10 years. Installations will be done in the spring or fall.

All costs for the product, installation and maintenance are to be borne by the donor.

How It Works:

  1. Complete and return the application and payment to the Town of Ocean City, Maryland.
  2. After your application is received, you will be contacted by the Town with the memorial location and details of the verbiage on the plaque.
  3. Installation is scheduled and the bicycle rack is ordered. (Payment is required prior to scheduling of installation.)
  4. A letter of acknowledgement is sent to the donor and the plaque/tag wording is finalized.
  5. The bicycle rack is installed.

All donations are tax deductible.

Bicycle Rack Donations

With a donation of $2,500, the Town will supply and install a 7’ stainless steel bicycle rack with an engraved plaque in honor or in memory of a special person, group or life event.

  • The Town will provide an engraved plate securely welded to the rack near the top so that it easily identifies those being honored.
  • The Town will coordinate the message on the plaque with the donor, then send a letter to the donor indicating the rack has been installed;
  • Donors are welcome to suggest locations on the Boardwalk or in park locations; however, the Town will determine the specific location based on availability and other public safety concerns.
