Condé Nast Traveler, Thrillist and Travel + Leisure Give Praise to Iconic East Coast Beach Town
Ocean City, Maryland—(April 26, 2024): Ahead of a busy summer 2024 season, the Ocean City Department of Tourism & Business Development is thrilled to announce that it has earned honorable recognition from top-tier travel publications. Ocean City, Maryland (OCMD) was named one of the best beach towns on the East Coast by Condé Nast Traveler and a top U.S. beach town by Thrillist. Ocean City’s 10 miles of pristine beaches also made Travel + Leisure’s list of 25 Best Beaches in the USA.
Last year, the beloved vacation destination revealed a refreshed brand platform, celebrating Ocean City, Maryland, as “Somewhere to Smile About.” In 2024, the rebranding campaign continues to increase awareness and visitation to Ocean City through media relations, social media, paid media, influencer programs, and more.
