Ocean City, Maryland – (February 19, 2025): The Town of Ocean City is under a Winter Storm Warning, starting today, Wednesday, February 19, 2025, until early evening on Thursday, February 20, 2025. According to the National Weather Service in Wakefield, VA, a winter storm will bring heavy snow to much of the area today and continue into Thursday morning.
The bulk of the snow is anticipated to end by late tonight, but some lingering snow showers are expected before the afternoon on Thursday. Temperatures will remain around freezing with lows in the teens (with single-digit wind chills) Thursday evening.
Travel is strongly discouraged due to the anticipated accumulation of snow and freezing temperatures. The heaviest snowfall is expected during the evening and morning commutes. If traveling before or immediately after the storm, remember to provide additional room for snow plows to clear the roadways.
