Temporary Intern

This position will assist Recreation Program staff in the day to day running of recreational programs for all ages. Run a sampling of programs from start to finish including set up, marketing, hiring and supervision of staff. Assisting with the supervision, registration, paper work related to programs, camps, leagues, Play It Safe activities, beach activities and other programs as assigned. Customer service including answering phones, taking registration, and fielding questions. Schedule includes some evenings, weekends and holidays. Must be working towards a bachelor’s degree in Recreation and Parks or related field. Receiving college credits for work and enrolled in a college course for internship credit preferred. 40 hours per week end of May – mid August, $11.00 per hour, no housing provided. Driving record, drug test and background check required.

Skate Park Supervisor (Part-time Year Round)

This position will supervise and manage the Ocean Bowl Skate Park and the Downtown Recreation Complex facilities. This includes front line day to day operations, staff hiring, supervision and evaluation, maintenance of facility, budgeting, data entry, reporting, facility security, maintaining inventory, program evaluation, set up of facility related special events & programs, etc. Knowledge of skateboarding preferred. Must be enthusiastic and have excellent customer service. Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school or 1-2 years of supervisory/management experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Work schedule varies 25 – 35 hours a week based on park hours which includes evenings and weekends. Hourly rate is $16.81. Drug test and background check required.

Golf Course Landscaper (Part-Time)

The Landscaper performs tasks involved in the maintenance of ornamental flower beds, tree and shrub plantings, clubhouse grounds, golf course landscaping and naturalized areas. Duties will include mowing, mulching, planting, pruning and weeding. Some golf course maintenance may be required such as sand bunker maintenance, greens rolling and misc. equipment operation. The Landscaper may also perform specialized tasks such as fertilization, irrigation operation, and special landscape projects.

Prior education and experience in landscape maintenance or horticulture would be helpful but is not required. All applicants must dependable, have a positive work ethic and be willing and able to work outside in all types of weather conditions. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and possess a high school diploma or general education degree (GED). Golf privileges, tools and uniforms provided. Work hours are flexible, up to 40 hours per week in season. Hourly rate up to $12.55 per hour based on experience and ability

Bus Drivers (Seasonal)

Drive a Bus at the Beach This Summer

Ocean City, Maryland a resort city on the Atlantic Ocean is looking for seasonal bus operators to work from the middle of May to Labor Day, we will accept applications of university and college drivers who need to return to their home base in Mid- August. All you need is your current home state Commercial Driver’s License with Passenger Endorsement, a DOT medical card, and the willingness to work nights and weekends in a beautiful seaside community. The bus service area will be contained within one ten-mile linear route with dedicated transit lanes and 10-minute headways and one park and ride lot route. Easy to learn and fun to drive, paid training and uniforms will be available and assistance in locating temporary housing upon request. Spend your days on the beach or on the water and your nights driving the thousands of visitors to the fun spots along this beautiful coastal town. PART-TIME EMPLOYMENT

EMT –Intermediate, Maryland CRT, Paramedics

We are looking for skilled ALS clinicians to augment our full time staff in the 2020 season. Individuals must be at least 18 years of age and meet the following requirements at the time of application:

2. Possess a valid Maryland or National Registry Paramedic license, Maryland CRT license or National Registry EMT-Intermediate license. Individuals who are not Maryland Licensed at the time of application must obtain a Maryland license within 30 days of employment.

3. Valid driver’s license at the time of application with 2 years driving experience and a satisfactory driving record.

4. One year of validated experience in driving and operating an emergency vehicle in the emergency mode is preferred.

5. Current BLS Healthcare Provider or Professional Rescuer CPR certification.

Part-time Youth Basketball Officials & Official Assistants

Part-Time Youth Basketball Officials & Official Assistants: responsible for officiating scheduled basketball games. Prior experience in officiating basketball is desirable. Must successfully complete and pass a background check and drug screening. Knowledge of the rules of the game of basketball is required. Candidate should possess a high level of independent judgment and attend on-court training, pass a written rules exam or oral exam and an interview. Ability to work flexible schedule which includes evenings approximately 4 to 12 hours a week, November through Mid-February. Officials rate of pay is $20.00/game and requires graduation from an accredited high school or GED equivalent. Must be eighteen years of age or older. Official Assistants will earn $13.00/hour and must be 16 years of age or older. All officials are under the direction of the assigned Coordinator and the Program Supervisor and are required to follow City policies and regulations.

The Roland E. Powell Convention Center seeks a qualified employee to assist with the set-up, layout, maintenance, and housekeeping of the facility. Commitment to excellent customer service and a positive attitude is desired. Security Guard – Temporary/Seasonal

Monitors fuel usage, fuel deliveries, gas pump readings, and supplies at the fuel depot, and completes related paperwork. Manages in/out access of tow truck drivers and citizens for the impound lot. Able to legibly fill out forms for vehicles, fuel and gas pump readings. This job requires frequent walking, standing and occasional exposure to the elements. Applicants must be willing to work shifts as assigned, including days, evenings and nights. Candidate must pass a post-offer drug test. The starting pay is $11.71 per hour.
