Afterschool Activities Coordinator

If you enjoy working with children, being outside, and are full of creative energy, then the Afterschool Activities Coordinator is the job or you. The work schedule of two days a week offers flexibility for candidates with other work, school, and personal obligations. The current work schedule is Tuesday & Thursday 3pm-6pm. Children grades K-4th will join us for activities after their schoolwork is completed from 4-5:30pm. The coordinator’s responsibilities include planning, organizing, and implementing daily activities including, but not limited to, sports, games, crafts, nature exploring, and other age-appropriate activities. The current session runs September 15th – October 22nd with the possibility of expanding to more days when schools return to in-person instruction. Applicant must have experience working with elementary aged children. Drug test and background screen are required. This position is open until filled. Hourly rate is $15.25.

Bus Drivers (Seasonal)

Drive a Bus at the Beach This Summer

Ocean City, Maryland a resort city on the Atlantic Ocean is looking for seasonal bus operators to work from the middle of May to Labor Day, we will accept applications of university and college drivers who need to return to their home base in Mid- August. All you need is your current home state Commercial Driver’s License with Passenger Endorsement, a DOT medical card, and the willingness to work nights and weekends in a beautiful seaside community. The bus service area will be contained within one ten-mile linear route with dedicated transit lanes and 10-minute headways and one park and ride lot route. Easy to learn and fun to drive, paid training and uniforms will be available and assistance in locating temporary housing upon request. Spend your days on the beach or on the water and your nights driving the thousands of visitors to the fun spots along this beautiful coastal town. General duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Performing routine vehicle maintenance and mechanical checks and light repairs to transit vehicles; Pre and post vehicle inspections; Maintains accurate vehicle maintenance and supply records; Maintains interior and exterior cleanliness of vehicles, and; Other duties as may be assigned. A CDL Class B license with passenger and airbrake endorsements, current DOT Physical/Medical Certification Card is required. Previous related work experience preferred, but not required. Hourly wage is $13.83.

Requires exceptional customer service skills and the ability to communicate calmly, clearly and effectively; Previous work related experience preferred, but not required. Hourly wage is $12.55.

Casual Labor (Temporary)

The Roland E. Powell Convention Center seeks a qualified employee to assist with the set-up, layout, maintenance, and housekeeping of the facility. Commitment to excellent customer service and a positive attitude is desired. Duties include sweeping, mopping, washing windows, scrubbing walls, waxing, buffing, cleaning restrooms, vacuuming floors, stairs and office area as well as other duties as may be assigned. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. The skill to operate a forklift is a plus. Applicant must be flexible to work shifts as scheduled with the ability to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays. Hours vary between 24 to 40+ hours per week and work hours may exceed 8 hour shifts. High school diploma or GED and valid driver’s license is required. $10.62 per hour.

Security Guard – Temporary/Seasonal

Monitors fuel usage, fuel deliveries, gas pump readings, and supplies at the fuel depot, and completes related paperwork. Manages in/out access of tow truck drivers and citizens for the impound lot. Able to legibly fill out forms for vehicles, fuel and gas pump readings. This job requires frequent walking, standing and occasional exposure to the elements. Applicants must be willing to work shifts as assigned, including days, evenings and nights. Candidate must pass a post-offer drug test. The starting pay is $11.71 per hour.
