Part Time Youth Flag Football Officials

Part time youth flag football and/or basketball officials are responsible for officiating scheduled games. Prior experience in officiating youth sports is desirable. Graduation from an accredited high school or GED equivalent required. Must be eighteen years of age or older. Must successfully complete and pass a criminal background check and drug screening. Knowledge of the rules of the game is required. Must have a high level of independent judgment. Must attend an interview. Ability to work 3 – 12 hours a week. Ability to work flexible schedule, evening work required. Flag Football September – early November. Basketball December – mid-February. Rate of pay is $20.00/hour. Ability to follow City policies and regulations. Must be able to pass a post offer drug test and background check. Officials are under the direction of the assigned Coordinator and the Program Supervisor. All employees are responsible to the Recreation Manager.

Afterschool Activities Coordinator

If you enjoy working with children, being outside, and are full of creative energy, then the Afterschool Activities Coordinator is the job or you. The work schedule of 3-6pm offers flexibility for candidates with other work, school, and personal obligations. Children grades K-4th will join us for activities after their schoolwork is completed from 4-5:30pm. The coordinator’s responsibilities include planning, organizing, and implementing daily activities including, but not limited to, sports, games, crafts, nature exploring, and other age-appropriate activities. The first session runs September 20th – November 3rd with four 7-week sessions following and concluding May 27th, 2022. Applicant must have experience working with elementary aged children. The Town of Ocean City, Maryland is seeking an individual to assist the president and volunteer fire chief in developing and maintaining an effective volunteer and cadet firefighter program. The incumbent researches and studies the latest techniques for recruiting and retaining volunteer firefighters and ways to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Works with social, civic and local organization to develop partnerships, where appropriate to assist with retention and recruitment of volunteers. Performs activities by analyzing periodic checks of statistics and performances metrics of the volunteer personnel. Acts as a liaison/ point of contact for volunteers both during and after their probationary year. The successful candidate should have excellent time management skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Products and the ability to work with minimal direct supervision. Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or graduation from college level office management training and three years of office experience including records management practices and principals. Experience and credentialing in firefighting operations is preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check. This position serves as the General Manager of the Ocean City Recreation and Parks Concessions operations headquartered on 125th Street at Northside Park in Ocean City, Maryland. Plans, implements, directs and monitors all functions of concessions operations. Work includes budget proposal and control, staff supervisory functions, and annual reports. Hires, supervises and manages a staff (5-10 employees) of concession workers. Oversees the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the facility/equipment related to Concessions.
